West Australian Electoral Commission – Daylight Saving

Employment opportunities have again arisen from the forthcoming referendum on daylight saving. The positions are of a casual, as needed nature, but are still important and needed to help contribute to a successful event.

As we have recruited for these counts previously, we will be contacting our database of already trained staff from last year’s state election first for these roles. We may need to recruit extra staff so watch this space.

2009 DST Referendum

The date for the 2009 referendum on Daylight Saving was announced this week as Saturday 16th May 2009.
We will again be needing casual staff to work the non-polling booth clerical/ data entry positions in the counting rooms.
In due course, closer to the date of the referendum we will be contacting our database of candidates who worked for the previous election, and may be taking new applications for the casual work available.
There is no need to apply now as we won't be looking through any applications until we're ready.
